It is finally here, the upgrade kit to the FELIX 3.1. Enjoy the print-quality of the latest generation FELIXprinters. Due to the modular design of the printer, you are free to choose to what extent you want to upgrade your printer, we just choose the bare minimum for you. This upgrade enables a significant boost in print-quality and reliability. This is enabled not only by using high quality engineering plastics but also every part has been redesigned compared to it's predecessor to increase rigidity of the construction.

Upgrade kit Felix 1.0 to Felix 3.1
It is finally here, the upgrade kit to the FELIX 3.1. Enjoy the print-quality of the latest generation FELIXprinters. Due to the modular design of the printer, you are free to choose to what extent you want to upgrade your printer, we just choose the bare minimum for you. This upgrade enables a significant boost in print-quality and reliability. This is enabled not only by using high quality engineering plastics but also every part has been redesigned compared to it's predecessor to increase rigidity of the construction.
The kit contains the following minimally required set of parts.

Optional parts
These are optional parts that make your printer resemble the FELIX 3.0 closer, but are strictly speaking not necessary for better print-quality.
| 1x | Heated bed + kapton foil heater (these options have to be chosen together). This bed is lighter in weight and also stiffer and flatter than the original 2mm aluminum plate |
| 1x | Powersupply, this new powersupply delivers the same power output compared to the old powersupply, but is different in size and has an integrated power on/off switch, which is mandatory for CE marking. |
| 4x | Stepper motors. This is not a necessary option, but recommended because these motors are lighter which for the extruder head improves performance a little, they operate also a little more silent compared to the older motors. |
Dual Head upgrade
Get started by printing with two print-heads. Although this feature is still in beta stage, it is still nice to have and already be prepared for future developments. The hardware is ready, the available software at the moment is preventing flawless dual head printing at the moment.
LCD display unit upgrade
This enables full control of your printer without a PC. Standalone printing is also possible without display unit, but the print has to be started from the PC. Once the printer is printing the USB cable can be pulled out. The LCD display unit consists of a base part set, which contains the electrical circuit, optionally you can add the printed parts set, or you can print it out yourself.
